About me
Hello, my name is Ana.
I’m an 19 years old University student who lives in Lisbon, Portugal.
I started this personal blog in November 2006. I did it because I needed to talk to somebody, and there was nobody around.
After a while of writing with a certain discipline, not allowing myself to ever stop, I found I couldn’t go without doing it anymore. Blogging helps me to organize my ideas, it helps me to think, and most of all, it helps me to put my ideas and thoughts into words.
I found it to be something that really helped me get off my shell in the real world. After years of living with Social Phobia, most of my adolescence really, I’m now starting to heal and getting more and more assertive and confident every day.
Talking and articulating my thoughts here isn’t hard at all, and it has been teaching me to do the same in real life. I expect to keep doing it for… well, ever.
If you were wondering around the blog’s title, you can probably understand it now. It reflects me, as I try to change some habits and grow as a person. As for the purpose of this blog, it’s to follow me through my life and journey into becoming a happy and balanced woman.
Although I write for myself, I really appreciate anyone who’d like to, and that takes the time to read. If you wish, you can even drop me a comment, and I’ll be more than happy to repay the favor, and who knows, even create a friendship.
